Construction of vintage blouse

In this post, I would like to show you something interesting. I found a vintage blouse, it was made probably in 1970s and there is an interesting thing about it that I have not yet seen on my own eyes, only read about it. Apparently people were wearing a sweat protectors in their armpits in order not to have wet circles in the underarm area. They had diamond shaped pieces of fabric (usually cotton) sewn on the hems in the underarm. Later I actually found a mention about something similar that is used in these days by people that need these but in a modern reboot - they have a sticky side like ladies´ pads but are to be used for underarm sweat. I think this might actually be a useful tip for those who have problems with sweating.

    1. Probably yes, but the extra fabric or a pad might feel funny in the armpit.
