Red hat

This red hat is my thrift store newest find. I instantly fell in love with it when I tried it on for the first time. I was surprised it was in a great condition, apparently never worn and for such a low price! I had to wear it as soon as possible, so I threw together this outfit and it was a nice sunny afternoon, therefore the first outing was documented. The second photo reminded me of René Magritte´s famous painting The Son of Man, because there are red apples in the background. On the other hand a friend of mine told me the hat reminded her of queen Elizabeth II, which is nice :) 

The skirt was made by me a few years ago, it was my first succesfull attempt to make scallopped hem.
