Vintage & secondhand shops in Plzeň, Czechia

UPDATED in September 2023 Every time I travel somewhere and know I will have some time on my hands I check for some vintage and secondhand shops that might be in the city and that look good enough to pay them a visit. It is not difficult to find lists and articles or even maps with vintage and secondhand shops when it comes to capital cities or big cities in general but when you want to find shops in a city that is not frequented that much by people that are into fashion it is quite a problem. This is why I am putting together this list of vintage and secondhand shops + markets that are worth visiting in Plzeň. When it comes to Plzeň I only found a few remarks on various forums and that info is often outdated, some of those shops don´t exist anymore. So where you should stop by in Plzeň? (Please note that this is not a complete list of vintage & secondhand shops in Plzeň, there are some that I for sure do not know about and then there are some that I visited a few time...

In this article I want to talk about our skin, the most important „outfit“ of ours (yes, this sounds a bit creepy :D). I think it already happened to everyone – we were looking longingly on the perfect skin of a model in a glossy magazine and were wishing to have evenly pretty skin. Marie Terezie movie costumes at Valtice castle

In today´s blogpost I am sharing a few photos from the exhibition of costumes from the second part of the Marie Terezie miniseries that were shown during summer 2020 at the Valtice castle . Although the exhibition should still have been opened, it was prematurely closed because of the current Covid situation in the Czech Republic and restrictions imposed by the government. So if you have planned to visit it and couldn´t either because of the distance or timing, I am sharing some of the costumes I liked. The exhibition itself was basically just in two big rooms and each visitor got a paper guide with some introduction and details about the costumes, mostly describing the scenes where they appeared and who wore them. Here and there they pointed out something about the costume or the jewellery used.
