UPDATED in September 2023 Every time I travel somewhere and know I will have some time on my hands I check for some vintage and secondhand shops that might be in the city and that look good enough to pay them a visit. It is not difficult to find lists and articles or even maps with vintage and secondhand shops when it comes to capital cities or big cities in general but when you want to find shops in a city that is not frequented that much by people that are into fashion it is quite a problem. This is why I am putting together this list of vintage and secondhand shops + markets that are worth visiting in Plzeň. When it comes to Plzeň I only found a few remarks on various forums and that info is often outdated, some of those shops don´t exist anymore. So where you should stop by in Plzeň? (Please note that this is not a complete list of vintage & secondhand shops in Plzeň, there are some that I for sure do not know about and then there are some that I visited a few times but do

The background of the DONUT HAIRDO

I had loved this hairstyle before it was worn by masses. A few years ago I had had a special plastic stick round which the hair had to be wrapped and then fastened. It did not have a look of a big bun with a lot of hair, but still looked classy. Then, maybe a year or two ago, H&M started selling tons of these donut shaped rats. I bought one for myself too, of course. I consider it a quick possibility to get one´s hair done and add some elegance to the outfit but sadly it started to lack originality. I meet someone wearing this hairstyle at least once a day every day. Well, to be honest, I did not quit wearing the donut bun but at least I am wearing mine with a scarf wrapped round it or with some hair ornaments (because (a) it looks better to me than the plain, and now even very common, donut bun, (b) I am lazy to do the hairdo perfectly and the accessories take the focus off the messy bun). September 2017 through the Instagram Stories´ eye

September is gone, which means Instagram stories recap! I must say I was quite disappointed by the weather. The sudden low temperatures were quite a shock , I even got a runny nose for a few days and realized I need to get some new coats. I remember nice beginnings of autumn, with sunny days and leaves turning yellow and red. This was not the case for most of this month, only last week in September or so was finally nice and sunny. I was able to enjoy these last few days of "summer" while enjoying my meal outside, walking through parks and visiting the Botanical garden in Troja, Praha (which is beautiful when the leaves are colourful). Because of the not so nice weather the mushrooms took their time and they finally started to grow. I think it was my first and only one mushroom hunting trip for this year . The summer was too dry and September was too cold. We were lucky though, as you can see on the last Insta story, we had quite a lot of mushrooms (but they were tiny! :D
