October is for me in the name of autumn colours and Jack-O-Lanterns. The days are getting shorter too, which is the perfect time for some book or movie. What am I obsessed about now?
Říjen je pro mě ve znamení podzimních barev a Jack-O-Lanterns. Také se nám ale zkracuje den a to je ideální chvíle na nějakou knihu nebo film. Co mě teď baví?

Ginger Snaps is a B horror movie but I use to watch it over and over again. I think I should watch it again after years. The movie has a great atmosphere and the main characters are quirky. The beginning of the movie is showing us a horror photography class project of the girls that I am fascinated by till these days - I would like to do something similar this year for Halloween on my Instagram. The movie is an alegory on girls´coming of age but you don´t have to watch the movie with this in your mind at all.
Ginger Snaps je Bčkový horor, na který jsem se ve své době koukala dokola. Myslím, že bych se měla podívat znovu i po letech. Film má skvělou atmosféru a i hlavní hrdinky jsou skvěle uhozené. Začátek filmu navíc představuje jejich hororový fotografický školní projekt, klterý mě fascibuje dodnes - něco podobného si na letošní Halloween chystám pro svůj Instagram. Celé je to prý alegorie na dospívání dívek, ale můžete se na to dívat i jen jako na zábavný horor.

In September I read book Acquired Tastes by Peter Mayle and would like to recommend it to you too. It is a collection of texts about luxury. We cannot afford most of the luxuries mentioned (like a private plane) but it is so readable. I also appreciated the nonchalance of it.
V září jsem si přečetla knihu O lanýžích, šampaňském a jiných požitcích od Petera Maylea a musím ji doporučit. Jde o sbírku textů pojednávajících o luxusu. Většinu z nich (jako třeba soukromý tryskáč) si dovolit nemůžeme, ale i tak se o tom dobře čte. Zároveň oceňuji jakýsi nadhled a nonšalantnost, se kterým je kniha psaná.

Be sure not to miss Autumn in the botanical garden in Trója, Prague. Each year they are exhibiting pumpkins of various shapes and colours. It is very photogenic and some of the pumpkins are very cute.
V říjnu si nenechte ujít Podzim v botanické zahradě v Tróji v Praze. Každoročně se zde koná výstava dýní rozličných tvarů a barev. Je to velmi fotogenické a některé dýně jsou prostě roztomilé.
