While waiting for the season three of Harlots that is a phenomenal show I thought I will share some DIY. In season two of Harlots Charlotte Wells is often seen wearing a choker necklace made of tiny pearl beads. The pattern is pretty simple, so now you can have this necklace too!
Abych si zkrátila čekání na třetí řadu seriálu Harlots, který ke úžasný, dala jsem se trochu do kutění. Ve druhé sérii Charlotte Wells často tento obojkový náhrdelník z malých perliček. Jde o celkem jednoduchý vzor, takže teď můžete mít takový náhrdelník také!
Which supplies will you need?
- pearl beads
- a transparent fishing line
- transparent nail polish
- scissors
- a white satin ribbon (or another type of fastening that you prefer)
Co budete potřebovat?
- perličky
- průhlednou saturnu
- průhledný lak na nehty
- nůžky
- bílou saténovou stuhu (nebo jiné zapínání, které preferujete)
The beginning of the necklace beading is the most difficult part here, then it will get much easier.
In a few scenes the fastening of the choker necklace at the back is shown - it is a metal chain with a few pearls in it. However I have decided to fasten this necklace with a white satin ribbon that I prefer a bit more in this case. In the Georgian/Rococo era many necklaces were fastened with ribbons (which you have for sure already noticed on other necklaces in the Harlots series).
Jako u všeho, nejtěžší je vytvořit začátek a prvních několik perličkových "oček", pak už to půjde skoro samo.
V některých scénách je ukázáno i řešení zapínání náhrdelníku vzadu - jde o kovový řetízek, na němž je sem tam perlička. Já jsem se ale rozhodla pro zavazování na bílou saténovou stužku, které se mi v tomto případě líbí více a zároveň je také častým druhem zapínání náhrdelníků v georgiánské/rokokové éře (jistě jste si toho i všimli na jiných náhrdelnících, které jsou v seriálu Harlots k vidění).
At first I made a loop of 11 pearl beads, make a knot and put nail polish on the knot so it doesn´t come undone. Then I added 11 beads and sticked the fishing line through the 4th bead on the loop. I added 3 beads and sticked the fishing line through the 4th bead of the new loop. Then I added 7 beads and sticked the fishing line through the 4th bead of the newest loop. From here on I was adding each time 7 beads and sticking the fishing line through the 4th bead of the latest loop. When I achieved the perfect length I tied the knot and fastened it with a nail polish. Then I sticked through the loops at the ends the white satine ribbon and voilá! The pearl choker necklace is ready :) Nejprve jsem udělala smyčku z 11 perliček, udělala uzel a zajistila ho lakem na nehty, aby se nerozvazoval. Pak jsem navlékla 11 korálků a provlékla vlasec 4. korálkem smyčky. Následně jsem navlékla 3 korálky a provlékla vlasec 4. korálkem nově vzniklé smyčky. Pak jsem navlékla 7 korálků a provlékla vlasec 4. korálkem poslední smyčky. Poslední krok jsem opakovala tak dlouho, dokud jsem nedosáhla potřebné délky náhrdelníku. Poté jsem udělala uzel a opět jej zalakovala. Posledními korálkovými smyčkami na krajích obojku jsem provlékla bílou saténovou stuhu a je to! Perličkový obojkový náhrdelník je hotov :)
