In the Middle-earth woods

So, this is one of those places that I like to return to. There are these rows of trees at the border of the local forest that create this perfect alley. I think they were put there on purpose to really create some kind of a border, maybe for the wildlife that lives in the forest. I like to go through it and imagine I am in the Middle-earth in the world of The Lord of the Rings.

I have heard that they are producing a whole LOTR series. I will check it out once it is available but I am pretty sceptic about this project. I don´t believe they would top Peter Jackson´s trilogy (yeah, remember those times when trilogy books were filmed into trilogy movies? No splitting into two parts?). Maybe if they were able to spin some sidestories and introduce new characters and not really follow the main events of the books/movies...

Tak tohle je jedno z míst, na která se ráda vracím. Jde o řady stromů na hranici místního lesa, které tvoří alej. Myslím si, že takhle byly schválně vysazeny, možná opravdu, aby ohraničovaly les a zadržely lesní zvěř v lese. Ráda touto alejí chodím a představuji si, že jsem ve Středozemi světa Pána prstenů.

Slyšela jsem, že teď natáčí celý seriál podle Pána prstenů. Omrknu to, až bude k mání, ale jsem k tomuhle projektu značně skeptická. Trilogii filmů Petera Jacksona určitě nepředčí (ah ano, pamatujete ty doby, kdy z knižních trilogií vznikaly filmové trilogie? Žádné dělení dílů na dva?). Možná, kdyby se spíše soustředili na vedlejší linky a postavy a ne na tu hlavní dějovou linku knih/filmů...
