Handmade striped summer dress

My sewing madness continues. This time with pictures! :D

About two weeks ago it looked like a real summer is going to start and I suddenly yearned for another white and blue dress, because I have a very soft spot for blueprints and the like. I checked my stash of fabrics and pulled this floral one with stripes. For a moment I was thinking about the stripes - vertically or horizontally? But then suddenly, it was clear. Horizontal! (Probably also because I don´t have a dress with horizonal stripes yet.) Then the cutting of the fabric began and pins and tiny threads were everywhere. At the end of the day - voi la! A lovely summer dress <3

Moje šicí období stále pokračuje. Tentokrát jsem si to i nafotila! :D

Asi před dvěma týdny už to vypadalo, že začne opravdové léto a já opět zatoužila po modro-bílých šatech, protože mám velkou slabost pro modrotisky a jim podobné. Omrkla jsem své zásoby látek a vylovila tuto květinovou s pruhy. Chvíli jsem zvažovala jak orientovat pruhy - vertikálně nebo horizontálně? Rozhodování mi však dlouho netrvalo - horizontálně! (Asi také proto, že šaty s horizontálními pruhy ještě nemám.) A pak už začalo stříhání látky a přítomnost špendlíků a nitek všude. A téhož dne večer - voi la! Krásné letní šaty <3

Ah, the pockets... I was redoing them multiple times! But I am very happy that I made them.

Ach ty kapsy... kolikrát jsem je přešívala! A stejně jsem šťastná jako blecha, že je mám.
