Autumn trip to Skryje | Blogoween

Today I want to share a tip for a wonderful trip to Skryje ponds (Skryjská jezírka). I believe the most suitable time to visit this place is autumn as I was completely mesmerised by the colourful nature here. We started our track in the village Lhotka and then followed the blue trail that lead us by and a few times accross the Zbiroh stream (Zbirožský potok) a couple of times. The trail was not frequented at all, we finally got to meet some other hikers once we got closer to our destination, the ponds and the tiny waterfall.

Dnes se podělím o tip na výlet ke Skryjským jezírkům. Myslím, že podzim je ideální období na návštěvu tohoto místa, jelikož příroda zde hraje barvami, na což jsem se nemohla vynadívat. Naše vycházka začala ve vesnici Lhotka a po kuse cesty jsme nastoupili na modrou turistickou trasu, která nás vedla kolem a několikrát přes Zbirožský potok. Trasa nebyla vůbec frekventovaná a několik výletníků jsme potkali až blíže našemu cíli, což byla jezírka  malý vodopád.

I wonder how this place looks early in the spring as there must be a lot more water in the ponds and the waterfall. It is possible that the accessibility is even worse because of this. We had our trusty waterproof hiking boots and were very glad that we were wearing these even though at this trail the footbridges were well made, however at the ponds we turned back and did not explore the trail further as it was becoming more challenging due to the water. We met a guy there wearing wellington boots, which was a good choice for that spot.

Zamýšlela jsem nad tím, jak asi toto místo vypadá brzy zjara, když je tu jistě mnohem více vody v jezírkách i vodopádu. Je dost možné, že je to tu hůře přístupné kvůli vodě. Měli jsme na sobě naše spolehlivé vodotěsné chodecké boty a byli za ně dost rádi. Dřevěné mosty přes potok sice byly v dobrém stavu a nebyli jsme nuceni se brodit, pokud jsme nechtěli, ale u jezírek jsme se již rozhodli vrátit a nejít po trase dál, jelikož už bychom to zřejmě nedali suchou nohou. U jezírek jsme potkali kluka v holinách, moc dobře věděl, co dělá a jistě zde nebyl poprvé.

The hiking trail was surrounded by former water mills that were reconstructed and are now regular big houses. Here and there a cottage is standing and at a few places there is even a cottage colony. Some of the cottages must have a wonderful view as they were located at elevated places. Then again I was wondering about those located near the Zbiroh stream´s banks, I think that at some ocasions they must get flooded.

Turistická trasa vedla kolem bývalých vodních mlýnů, které byly opraveny a jsou z nich dnes velké domy. Místy stojí i chatky či celé chatařské kolonie. Z některých chatek musí být krásný výhled, protože stály na vyvýšených místech. Těch podél břehu Zbirožského potoka mi bylo trochu líto, protože si myslím, že některé roky budou zaplaveny rozvodněným potokem.

With the autumn nature with yellow and orange-ish leaves everywhere I was surprised to find out that this mustard yellow jacket is camouflaging me in the nature, making me less noticeable. I guess this must be similar to the bunkers that might sometimes have even surprising colours - like pink - but it is because of the surroundings. So currently we are in the season where a rather bright yellow colour can be considered a camouflaging colour.

Během výletu jsem nabyla překvapujícího zjištění, že má žlutá bunda má během podzimu maskovací vlastnosti, skvěle se schovám ve žluto-oranžovém listí podzimní přírody. Je to překvapivé, že tak výrazná barva se stane nenápadnou, ale musí to fungovat stejně jako některé překvapivé barvy bunkrů - například růžový - nenápadnost je daná vzhledem okolí.
