Handmade Dirndl inspired dress

Sunny summer days demand summer dresses, a lot of them. Luckily, summer dresses are one of my favourite things to sew. I have some favourite patterns, but that might become repetitive. If the fabric itself isn´t too distinctive I like to play with the pattern designs. This pattern was based on one of Burda´s patterns, but I retouched it a bit. I had in my mind dirndl and a bit of the rococo style of dress called front zone, although this similarity isn´t very striking. The folk vibe of this dress is underlined with the hat. Bless the harvest! ;)

Slunečné letní dny si žádají letní šaty, hodně šatů. Naštěstí mě baví šít letní šaty. Mám pár oblíbených střihů, ale to se může rychle stát repetitivní. Pokud není látka sama o sobě příliš výrazná, experimentuji se střihem šatů. Tento střih je založený na jednom z Burdy, ale trochu jsem si s ním pohrála. Při práci na těchto šatech jsem před sebou měla vizi dirndlu a rokokových šatů typu "front zone", i když ty jsou zde zastoupeny minimálně. Jakási lidovost těchto šatů je podtržena kloboučkem.
