Sunny summer days demand summer dresses, a lot of them. Luckily, summer dresses are one of my favourite things to sew. I have some favourite patterns, but that might become repetitive. If the fabric itself isn´t too distinctive I like to play with the pattern designs. This pattern was based on one of Burda´s patterns, but I retouched it a bit. I had in my mind dirndl and a bit of the rococo style of dress called front zone, although this similarity isn´t very striking. The folk vibe of this dress is underlined with the hat. Bless the harvest! ;)
Your dirndl inspired dress is a dream!

Aw, thank you. I always admire them in the shop Windows when in Regensburg, Bavaria. Some of them are a real work of art.
